Dr. Valentine Brousse is a pediatrician specializing in haemoglobinopathies. She is a senior consultant working for the Reference Centre for Sickle Cell Disease in Necker Hospital in Paris where over 6500 SCD children are followed, from neonatal diagnosis through transition to adulthood. She is specifically responsible for the Day Care Unit. She coordinates a clinical research program on predictive factors of severity in sickle cell disease children. She is also a collaborator in the INSERM team S 1134 “ Integrated Biology of Red Blood Cells”, focusing on adhesion proteins on SCD RBCs.
